The campus of Salisbury University offers a variety of indoor and outdoor athletic facilities.
The SU Baseball Field is home to the Salisbury University baseball team. The field features an AstroTurf infield with dirt cutouts for the bases and pitcher's mound. The infield surface allows for practice in inclement weather. The outfield is natural grass. The facility features bleachers and an enclosed press box. In the fall of 2007, state-of-the-art scoreboard was installed in left field.
The indoor Maggs Center offers a main basketball gym, auxiliary gym, pool, intramural fields, 4 racquetball courts as well as weight and fitness rooms and a climbing wall. The main gym offers seating for 2,300 fans and features a press box, wireless internet, sound system and an electronic scoreboard. Maggs is also equipped with a 6-lane, 25-meter indoor pool.
Sea Gull Stadium
Sea Gull Stadium is the University’s main sports complex, offering A-turf outdoor facilities for field hockey, football and lacrosse. The stadium is equipped with 2,500 spectator seats.
The SU Soccer Complex has a seating capacity of 500 in the bleachers while hundreds sit on the hill across from the benches. The fields offer an enclosed press box, a sound system and electronic scoreboards.
The SU softball field is nestled behind rows of pine trees and features an enclosed and heated press box, sound system and an electronic scoreboard. There are bleachers located behind home plate and one down the right field line for fans.
Tennis Center – Indoor and Outdoor
The Indoor Tennis Center features three courts and is equipped with locker rooms. Salisbury's outdoor facility includes 12 hard courts, six of which are lighted.
Track & Field Complex
The SU Track and Field Complex, resurfaced in 2003, features an eight-lane, 400-meter oval and has hosted a number of local and regional championship meets, including the Capital Athletic Conference championships. The Bermuda grass infield is one of the finest in the Mid-Atlantic region. The infield is the former home of the SU field hockey team, which hosted a number of NCAA playoff games in recent years, including the 2000 Division III Final Four.
